Matthew Greeley, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Matthew Greeley is Founder and CEO of Brightidea, the global leader in On-Demand Innovation Pipeline Management (IPM) software.
Prior to founding Brightidea, Matthew consulted for Wrenchead.com, helping them raise over $100 million in venture
funding from investors including: CBS Corporation, Polaris Ventures, and Goldman Sachs. Before joining Wrenchead.com,
Matthew co-founded Silicon Valley enterprise software provider Alyanza Software, which was acquired by Niku eight months
after founding, yielding triple digit returns to early investors. Matthew began his career at FMK Advisors,
an east coast hedge fund, where he focused on marketing and fund raising.
He holds a degree in Computer Engineering
from Stevens Institute of Technology and studied Creativity and Marketing at Stanford University.
In addition to his role at
Brightidea, Matthew sits on the board of directors of ClearDay Technologies.
Vincent Carbone, Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Vincent Carbone co-founded Brightidea with Matthew Greeley. Bringing strong business and technological leadership
to the organization, he is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the company as well as contributing to its
strategic growth. In addition, Vincent oversees the implementation and overall success of the company’s largest customers
and projects.
Prior to Brightidea, Vincent was an account manager at McCaffrey, Ratner, Gottlieb and Lane where
he successfully managed projects for the Warner-Lambert family of companies and Olympus of America.
Vincent holds an MBA
in International Business from Clemson University’s CIMBA program (http://www.cimba.it).
Michael Brooding, Chief Financial Officier
As Brightidea’s Chief Financial Officer, Michael Brooding is responsible for the management of finance and administration functions of Brightidea. Since joining Brightidea in 2009, Michael has lead the development of internal processes and efficiencies required to maintain Brightidea’s continued growth. Michael brings a disciplined approach to the financial and sales operations, including Brightidea’s expanding indirect sales channel. Prior to joining the team, Michael was employed by Groundwork Open Source in the role of Senior Finance Director where he lead the finance and administration functions from the company’s inception to being a leading open source provider in the IT infrastructure space.
Michael earned a Masters in Finance from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara and is a CPA.
Luis Ostdiek, Vice President of Technology
Luis Ostdiek currently leads the Advanced Technology and Infrastructure groups at Brightidea as well as assists
the company with key clients on the role of Innovation software in their Web 2.0 roadmaps. Luis joined Brightidea
from IBM where he was the youngest-ever technologist to be named a Distinguished Engineer. While at IBM, he served as
chairman of the Architecture Board and worked closely with eBay and Linden Labs, the creators of Second Life. As part
of this role, he advised IBM executives and clients on the impact of Web 2.0 technologies in the workplace. In addition,
as IBM’s chief architect to eBay, he developed solutions that allowed the online auction site to scale from 20 million to
over 200 million users. Luis has also filed five patents on his work on highly-scalable systems.
Scott McKinney, Vice President of Sales
Scott McKinney leads Brightidea’s sales division, focusing on expanding the company’s rapidly growing global footprint. Bringing 13 plus years of enterprise sales and sales management experience, he is responsible for the overall corporate sales strategy as well as teams driving direct and channel sales.
Prior to joining Brightidea, Scott managed sales divisions that helped online employment site, CareerBuilder.com, grow annual revenue in excess of 35% on average (year-over-year) from 2005 to 2009. He also held roles driving sales execution and activities for several public companies including CalFirst Leasing Corp and Nielsen Media.
Scott holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Villanova University.
James Pasmantier, Vice President of Professional Services
James Pasmantier is currently the Vice President of Professional Services at Brightidea. As an innovation management expert with over 12 years of experience, James oversees a team of highly-trained innovation analysts that deal regularly with campaign setup and provide on-going support for clients globally in the Financial, Pharmaceutical, and High Tech industries.
Prior to joining Brightidea in 2006, he founded a software business focused on the Pharmaceutical industry and was a consultant with Accenture and KPMG. James received a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University.
Kenneth Maier, Vice President Alliances and Business Development
As Vice President of Alliances and Business Development, Kenneth Maier is responsible for the development of
Brightidea’s global network of partnerships including technology, services, and channel partnerships.
Kenneth has more than 20 years of experience in the sales, marketing, and business development of information
technology solutions at leading companies including Sterling Software and Oracle Corporation. Prior to joining
Brightidea, Kenneth served as vice president of alliances at Telelogic where he was directly responsible for
the development and launch of the company’s Customer Needs Management strategy and subsequent global technology &
services partnerships.
