Our teams delivered meaningful upgrades that strengthened the foundation of the platform—reimagining the Hackathon experience, uplifting the core platform with the BIC 5 upgrade, introducing a new mobile app, expanding translation capabilities for global teams, and bringing AI-powered brainstorming directly into customers’ workflows. Alongside these milestones, we shipped 65 deploys, delivered four major product announcements, and continued to enhance platform performance and reliability.
These improvements didn’t just elevate the software—they expanded what our customers could accomplish. With a faster, clearer, more connected innovation engine behind them, organizations across the Brightidea community pushed further than ever this year.

We wanted to round out the year with a release that brings a set of improvements designed to streamline program management, enhance usability, and help teams collaborate more effectively.
- Department Idea Box updates: clearer idea descriptions, new admin description box for team site homepages, improved teammate invite UI.
- Flexible input fields: number fields now support commas, decimals, currency symbols, and localized formats.
- Configurable business impact: business impact and initiative-level dropdowns can now be managed at the initiative level.
- Submission form improvements: new image cropper, more visible submit button, standardized helper and label text.
- Upgraded AI image generator: faster, higher-quality AI-generated visuals.
- Streamlined email editing: new interface to edit and search for your initiative communications, mass enablement and disablement trigger, and migration of emails from system setup.
- Platform quality & reliability: over 300 customer inquiries, bug fixes, and enhancements resolved in 2025.
