Each year the BrightIdea Foundation selects a non-profit organization to support via funding and business services. In addition to donating a percentage of our annual revenue, BrightIdea further assists the organization through business development, web tools, products, consulting, and more.
Our efforts have served medical, scientific and environmental groups aimed at improving world health, the planet and individual quality of life.

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with
life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's
mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children,
families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 after a little boy named Chris
Greicius realized his heartfelt wish to become a police officer. Since its humble
beginnings, the organization has blossomed into a worldwide phenomenon, reaching
more than 161,000 children around the world.
Although it has become one of the world's most well-known charities, the Make-A-Wish
Foundation has maintained the grassroots fulfillment of its mission.
Brightidea has partnered with one of the largest independent cancer research organizations in the world, Cancer Research UK, to help fight this dreaded disease. The 2008 Brightidea Foundation is currently underway and receiving full support within every level of the company.
Campaign highlights of the joint partnership included:
- More than 500 participants
- Four separate and distinct ‘Challenge Areas’

- National and International events
- Legacy Programs
- Development of online income opportunities
“Through the engineering accomplishments of the past, the world has become smaller, more inclusive, and more connected.
The challenges facing engineering today are not those of isolated locales, but of the planet as a whole and all the
planet's people. Meeting all those challenges must make the world not only a more technologically advanced and
connected place, but also a more sustainable, safe, healthy, and joyous in other words, better place.”
Brightidea is dedicated to initiatives that improve society through innovation and scientific advancement and is pleased to support the National Academy of Engineering in this year's “Grand Challenges for Engineering” program.
The Foundation has established a program offering discounted or free products and services to help further enable those participating in the NAE Challenge. Through Brightidea tools and technology, participants are better equipped to reach goals, achieve success and thus improve the worldone great idea at a time.
